-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------

Barry Katz chaired the meeting.
Bob Haller took minutes, because Lynn was off line

- Review of minutes for April 22, 2003
         Minutes approved with no changes

- Announcements
         EIA Call for Patent Disclosure
         No company declared a patent.

Barry will present an IBIS Quality Committee
update at Both IBIS Summits (same presentation)
	IBIS summit at DAC2003 - June 5, 2003
IBIS summit at DesignCon East - June 23, 2003

- AR Review

AR - Bob Haller to insert relevant information from Timing reference
load Parser Bug submitted to open forum by IQ Committee into
Model_section document. DONE

AR - Barry to contact Mike Labonte to inform him to attend in two weeks
to help review Waveform processing document. DONE

AR - Look at minutes to review previous IV curve checks for level 0.OPEN

AR - Bob Ross to dig up Table of legal IV curve combinations (from old
parser bug). Done

AR - Bob Haller update and post IV curve document. DONE

- Opens for new items

	No new open Items

- Detailed Documentation review

Barry and Bob H. continued to walk us through the IV_Curve document
(IQ_4_3_iv_curve.txt)

Bob reviewed the major changes since version 0.1
   Added levels
   Added keywords
   Editorial changes

Reviewed changes made up to Pullup curves. Continued through the entire
document.Barry suggested, and no one objected for us to re-organize
document by level (0,1,2) after capturing all of the checks.
Agreed on wording of recommendation on how to handle excessive currents
Need to settle on value. 1 amp may be to low for high powered FET's.

AR - Kim to determine warning limits in parser for excessive currents.

Discussed check for proper order of Min Typ Max IV curves.
Agreed to add following wording; In most cases the current of Max curves
should be greater than the current of Typical IV curves which should be
greater than the current of Min curves in the active region (i.e. When
the device is Not clamping).

Discussed non-monotonic warnings, and the fact that some small
percentage of devices really do exhibit non-monotonic behavior.
IQ documentation is intended to improve overall quality of large
percentage of models (95%). There will be exceptions. Important point is
to document issues. Wording to add to documentation is "Any
non-monotonic IV curves must be documented".

Review IV voltage sweep limits for all of the Curves. Power clamp should
be -vcc to +2Vcc , Vcc relative.

Bob Ross commented that there can be issues not sweeping the clamp
curves sweep over the entire range (defined by IBIS). We cannot change
this for IQ documentation. It is permitted to extend the range of the
clamps. Power and ground clamps may contain the effects of ON-die
termination. And those effects should go in both curves.

Item 13 tri-state current should be less than 1ua. Add wording, "you
expect that or understand (and document) why".

It is important how the points are distributed on the IV curve because
of the 100 point limit. This is not presently discussed in the document.

Next we need to discuss and capture Level 2 checks for IV curves.

AR - Bob Haller update and post IV curve document.

- Plans for next meeting
       Complete IV_Curves document
       Review of ramp_and_waveproc.doc
